Dot pitch (also known as pixel pitch on modern LCD and OLED panels) is the distance between the centers of two adjacent pixels on a display. It directly determines physical pixel size.
While PPI (Pixels Per Inch) tells you how many pixels fit into one inch of screen space, dot pitch tells you the physical dimension of each individual pixel in millimeters. They are inverses of each other: as PPI goes up, dot pitch goes down.

How is dot pitch calculated from PPI?
Dot Pitch (mm) = 25.4 ÷ PPI. Since one inch equals exactly 25.4 millimeters, dividing 25.4 by the pixels per inch gives the width and height of each individual pixel in millimeters.
What is a good dot pitch for a computer monitor?
